<p>Description</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Temple Beth El of Boca Raton is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and engaging <strong>Hebrew Through Movement Teacher</strong> to join our Sunday religious school team. The ideal candidate is a native-level<strong> Hebrew speaker</strong> who enjoys working with elementary-aged children and is passionate about making Hebrew learning active, fun, and meaningful through movement, games, music, and interactive activities.</p><p><br/></p><p>This is a part-time position and an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hebrew educator or someone with a strong background in Hebrew language instruction and Jewish education.</p><p><br/></p><h2>Schedule</h2><ul><li>Sundays: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM</li><li>Follows the Religious School calendar.</li></ul><h2>Essential Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Teach Hebrew vocabulary and conversational language through the Hebrew Through Movement methodology (WILLING TO TRAIN).</li><li>Lead engaging, movement-based lessons that encourage active participation and language acquisition.</li><li>Create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.</li><li>Collaborate with the Director and Assistant Directors of the Religious School and fellow faculty to support student learning.</li><li>Prepare lesson materials and activities for weekly classes.</li><li>Communicate professionally with staff regarding student progress and classroom needs.</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li><strong>Native-level Hebrew fluency (required).</strong></li><li>Experience teaching children in a classroom, religious school, camp, or similar educational setting preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of Jewish traditions and culture.</li><li>Experience with the Hebrew Through Movement program or similar immersive language instruction is preferred; training may be provided.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, classroom management, and communication skills.</li><li>Reliable, energetic, and passionate about working with children.</li><li>Must be authorized to work in the United States.</li></ul><h2>Physical Requirements</h2><ul><li>Ability to actively participate in movement-based instruction.</li><li>Ability to stand, walk, and engage with students throughout the class session.</li></ul><h2>Compensation</h2><p>Competitive hourly compensation based on qualifications and experience.</p><p><br/></p><h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2><p>We are committed to creating an inclusive learning environment and welcome qualified candidates who are passionate about Hebrew language education and inspiring young learners.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This position requires Level 2 background screening pursuant to Chapters 435 and 402, Florida Statutes, including fingerprinting and screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
