Through collaborative planning and a fun, supportive environment, we empower Individuals to thrive at home and in the community.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>As a Qualified Behavior Professional Intern <em>(often referred to as Behavior Specialist Consultant)</em> you will:</p><ul><li>Observe and quantify behaviors, identify intervention strategies, and teach positive behavior supports.</li><li>Draft evidence-based documents such as Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs), and Temporary Emergency Support Plans (TESPs).</li><li>Serve as a behavioral expert: educating community partners, liaising with other agencies, operations, and program staff.</li><li>Provide training and supervision to direct support professionals (DSPs especially around person-centered, trauma-informed, human-development-oriented approaches. </li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Health, dental, vision benefits available with 75% of employee cost paid by Premier</li><li>Accrue up to 80 hours of PTO (paid time off) per year</li><li>401K offered after 90 days of employment with up to 4% employer match</li><li>Paid 1st and 16th of the month</li><li>Training and professional development opportunities</li><li>A fulfilling role where your work truly makes a difference</li><li>A collaborative team environment with supportive leadership and meaningful peer relationships</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><p><strong>Education & Experience </strong></p><p><u>Required</u>:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, human services, education, social work, or a related behavioral/social science discipline <em>(or equivalent)</em>.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing positive behavior support in services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) or similar conditions.</li><li>Eligible <em>(or already certified)</em> as a Qualified Behavior Professional under Oregon Administrative Rule 411-304-0170.</li><li>Proof of acceptance <em>(or ability to obtain)</em> as an Oregon Registry QBP or equivalent credentialing.</li><li>Goal: QBP Interns to achieve Qualified status within one year of employment, contingent upon obtaining their Oregon Intervention System (OIS) certification and gaining experience in Positive Behavior Supports.</li><li>Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.</li><li>Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace.</li></ul><p><u>Preferred</u>:</p><ul><li>Four years <em>(or more)</em> of human services work – especially with IDD populations.</li><li>OIS Instructional Certificate.</li><li>Prior experience in residential support settings, incident documentation, or staff training/supervision.</li></ul><p><strong>Why You’ll Love Working Here</strong></p><ul><li>Feel valued every day knowing you’re helping individuals live their best lives</li><li>Join a team that cares about each other and supports growth and wellbeing</li><li>Be part of a home-like setting not just “a job” but a community</li></ul><p><strong>Empower Lives.
