<p>Description</p><p>Healthy Kids Programs is seeking an energetic, passionate individual who loves working with children to join our team as a Pre-K Lead Teacher for our After School Program during the 2026–2027 school year.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>JOB STATUS:</strong> Part time, non-exempt</p><p><strong>LOCATION:</strong> <em><u><strong>Patricia A. DiChiaro School in Yonkers, NY</strong></u></em></p><p><strong>PAY: </strong>$18.00 per hour</p><p><strong>HOURS:</strong> 2:45 - 6:00 pm (Subject to change)</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Featured Benefit: Employer-Paid Childcare</strong></p><p>Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 3–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.</p><p><br/></p><p><u><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></u></p><ul><li><strong>Program Compliance:</strong> Ensure staff and program operations consistently meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements.</li><li><strong>Program Leadership:</strong> Plan and lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.</li><li><strong>Program Management:</strong> Oversee daily operational tasks such as accurate attendance and registration tracking, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.</li><li><strong>Family Communication:</strong> Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and caregivers using the Playground App.</li><li><strong>Team Collaboration:</strong> Communicate regularly with your direct report to share updates, address concerns, and support a positive team environment. Together, you will ensure high-quality care, strong staff morale, and proactive problem-solving.</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><p>Candidates must meet <strong>one</strong> of the following:</p><ul><li>Associate's degree in Child Development, Child Development Certificate, Bachelor's Degree and or equivalent degree.</li><li>Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience).</li><li>9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field with a plan of study leading to Associates or other Office recognized credential (with 1 year of experience).</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).</li><li>Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members.</li><li>Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.</li><li>Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children.</li></ul><p><strong>PART-TIME BENEFITS:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Employer-paid childcare</strong> for school-age children (ages 3–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you are working with us</li><li>Telehealth, vision, and dental coverage</li><li>AFLAC supplemental plans</li><li>401(k) for eligible employees</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>On-demand pay</li><li>Career development and growth opportunities</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>About Healthy Kids Programs</strong><br/>Healthy Kids Programs is more than a childcare provider.
