Equipment Maintenance Technician (Painting experience prefered)

Planet Aid collects and recycles used textiles to protect the environment and support sustainable development in communities around the world.</p><p><br/></p><p>We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Bin Maintenance Tech II to support the repair, refurbishment, and upkeep of our steel donation bins, clothes carts, and warehouse-related equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, painting, and general mechanical repairs while helping keep operations running safely and efficiently.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>What you'll do:</strong></p><ul><li>Repair and refurbish steel donation bins and receiving carts</li><li>Perform sanding, grinding, painting, labeling, and decal application on collection bins</li><li>Use welding equipment and general mechanical tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks</li><li>Retrieve donation bins requiring refurbishment and ensure they are fully emptied before repairs</li><li>Load and unload bins from trucks using a forklift</li><li>Assist with maintenance involving wood, metal, and polymer materials</li><li>Support warehouse operations including cleaning, sweeping, and organization</li><li>Operate the bin scale system during truck unloading</li><li>Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment</li><li>Assist with additional warehouse and operational duties as needed</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li><li>Previous welding experience required</li><li>Experience in facilities maintenance or property management strongly preferred</li><li>Forklift experience preferred</li><li>Basic Welding Experience</li></ul><h3>Physical Requirements</h3><ul><li>Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push up to 300 lbs. throughout the workday</li><li>Frequently required to bend, squat, kneel, reach overhead, and operate equipment</li><li>Comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse and maintenance environment</li></ul><p><em>Planet Aid’s mission is to inform, mobilize, and inspire individuals and communities to work together to bring about worldwide environmental and social progress.
