<h2>Chef Wanted at Kongsvold Fjeldstue</h2><p>Would you like to work in the mountains, surrounded by beautiful nature and with a strong focus on quality food experiences? Kongsvold Fjeldstue by Frich's is now looking for a chef for the season, with employment until October 10th, 2026.</p><p>Kongsvold Fjeldstue is known for its good kitchen, traditional dishes, and warm atmosphere. This is an opportunity to work in a unique mountain environment with focus on quality, good ingredients, and homemade food. If the cooperation works well and you would like to stay in Norway after the season, there may also be opportunities for continued work at other hotels within the Frich’s group.</p><p>The position includes breakfast service, lunch preparations, and evening shifts. The hotel has 36 rooms and serves a breakfast buffet every morning. In addition, the hotel operates a small café/kro connected to the hotel, serving sandwiches, sour cream porridge, and traditional Norwegian dishes.</p><p>At the beginning of the season, you may sometimes work alone in the kitchen except on Fridays and Saturdays. During the high season, there are usually two people working in the kitchen.</p><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Preparing and serving breakfast buffet</li><li>Preparing food for the café/kro</li><li>Cooking for evening service</li><li>Food prep and kitchen organization</li><li>Contributing to high-quality food experiences</li><li>Following hygiene and food safety routines</li></ul><h3>Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Experience from a restaurant, hotel, or similar kitchen</li><li>Passion for cooking and quality food</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a structured way</li><li>Positive attitude and good teamwork skills</li><li>Comfortable living in a quiet mountain area surrounded by nature</li><li>English is required, Scandinavian language skills are a plus</li></ul><h3>We offer:</h3><ul><li>A unique workplace in the beautiful Dovrefjell mountains</li><li>Opportunity to grow professionally in a respected kitchen</li><li>Affordable staff accommodation on site (approximately NOK 3,500 per month)</li><li>Possibility for further work at other Frich’s hotels after the season</li><li>A social environment where staff live together in the mountains</li></ul><p>Interested?
