<p>Description</p><p><em>Join a fast-paced orthopedic team where your attention to detail helps patients move one step closer to the care they need. As our Authorization Specialist, you’ll play a key role in securing prior authorizations for imaging, durable medical equipment, injections, and other ancillary services. This full-time position is ideal for someone with at least one year of medical-office administration experience who enjoys problem-solving, coordinating with insurance carriers, and supporting a smooth patient experience from start to finish.</em></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Job Type: </strong>Full-time, 40 hrs per week (with PTO and benefits)</p><p><strong>Schedule: </strong>Monday through Friday </p><p><strong>Pay: </strong>$19 - $21.50 per hour DOE </p><p><strong>In-office location: </strong>Flagstaff facility *Please do NOT apply if outside Flagstaff area</p><p><strong>PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE CURRENT MEDICAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE</strong> </p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Job Overview: </strong></p><p>The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical terminology, insurance verification, and office administration.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul><li>Management of ancillary authorizations, for all clinic providers</li><li>Obtaining and following up of authorizations</li><li>Answering patient phone calls pertaining your job responsibilities </li><li>Answering back-office questions pertaining to your job responsibilities</li><li>Faxing orders to other facilities with notes re. authorizations</li><li>Management of insurance eligibility worklist</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>About us: </strong></p><p>Flagstaff Bone and Joint has been providing exceptional orthopedic care to Northern Arizona since 1978.
